Cwmcarn : The Whyte Twrch Trail 15 km 450m / 1-2 hrs
The quickest way to get your fix of Wales' legendary all weather single track, just a few minutes and a handful of roundabouts from Junction 28 of the M4.
The idea of full on mountain bike trails in the industrial heartland of the Welsh valleys might seem far fetched. You'll be astonished at how much your world will change as soon as you hit the trail. The sweeping loop of Cwmcarn's Twrch trail mixes tight technical climbs and roller coaster, slalom singletrack with a heart stopping escarpment edge descent finale.

Take Junction 40 of the M4 and head north on the A4107
With a variety of trails, Afan Forest Park is becoming a Mecca for mountain bikers heading down the M4/M5 corridor. Making maximum use of the steep valleys, rocky outcrops and stunning ridgeline scenery making its fast flowing trails some of the most technical and progressive in Wales .
Penrhydd Trail 22km 450m 1.5-3 hrs
The original Afan trail offers a mix of tight, technical, twisting, arm pumping single track climbs and descents.
Rocky Mountain Wall Trail 23km 450m / 1.5-3 hrs
Fast swoopy singletrack with some fantastic views and a flat out final descent.
White's Level Trail 24km 400m /1.5-3 hrs
Very technical progressive riding trail with drops, step downs and log single track climbs.
Skyline Trail 46km approx 2000m / 5-7 hrs
Epic high level single track riding , not to be treated lightly

Washing & drying facilities for wet clothes and boots, bike washing facilities, adequate space for rucksacks, secure lockable areas for bikes. Packed lunches may be available from your accommodation provider.
