Business or pleasure you will receive a friendly welcome at The Lodge at The Bungalow which nestles in the lee of Logwood Hill on the outskirts of the village of Peterston-Super-Ely, totally rural yet just 15 minutes from the centre of Cardiff, the vibrant city and all that it has to offer including the new Wales Millenium Centre at Cardiff Bay.

We are also just 10 minutes away from Cardiff International Airport and Junction 34 of the M4.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodation:

A comfortable modern, non-smoking, spacious partially self contained fully equipped B&B suite offering 4 Star bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful setting with panoramic views and set in 2 acres with pretty gardens.

There is ample parking which is a maximum of 10 metres away from the house with 4 steps to the entrance.

Ground Floor: Entrance Hall, bathroom with in-bath shower. Large Lounge with colour television/video/DVD and music centre. Microwave facility available on request.

First Floor: Open plan main double bedroom with twin beds also with colour television.

The Lodge is centrally heated, and can accommodate up to 4 people including two fold-up beds on the ground floor.

Prices are FROM £35 for single occupancy and FROM £70 for double occupancy per night. Special discount for longer term stay. A deposit is required and also payment in advance on arrival.

Local Area

The village of Peterston-Super-Ely has a Post Office, Shop and two Pubs and Tesco and Marks & Spencer, among others, can be reached just 3 miles away at Culverhouse Cross.

Locally there are many attractions and historical sites such as The Museum of Welsh Life in St Fagans, Castell Coch (a fairy tale castle), and of course the splendour of Cardiff Castle, to name but a few. Why not visit Dyffryn Gardens which offers a host of formal gardens set in some 70 acres of spectacular landscaped parkland.

Very close by are two excellent Golf Clubs, horse riding facilities, fishing, walks with breathtaking panoramic views, a Welsh Vineyard where good wines can be sampled, a Hawking Centre and two farm parks.

If its retail therapy you require, Cardiff is the number one shopping experience, or if you prefer a quieter location look no further than the historical market town of Cowbridge with its unique shops, inns and restaurants which is only 15 minutes away.

We are ideally situated to the varied coastline that the Vale of Glamorgan has to offer, from Cardiff Bay and Penarth in the east, to Porthcawl in the West. This coastline offers dramatic rugged cliffs, secluded coves, traditional seaside resorts and two pleasure parks, all within easy reach from us.

Directions:

From The M4 motorway:

Take Junction 34 and follow signs for Pendoylan. After leaving this village (approx 1/2 mile), take the 1st left turning and follow the lane for approx. 1 mile to a T-junction at Gwern-Y-Steeple. At this junction turn right and you will find us 200 yds approx. up the hill on the right. We are the only property on the hill.

From the A48:

Travelling west towards Cowbridge, pass through the village of St Nicholas and continue on passing Cottrell Park Golf Club on the right. Continue for a further 500 yds approx. then take the next right off the A48 and we are approx. 1 mile down the hill on the left. (As you travel along this downward lane please ensure that you bear right at the small Y-junction).

Whichever direction you are travelling please drive slowly up or down Logwood Hill as we have a concealed entrance with tall black iron gates, and you could pass us very quickly.
