Y Bwthyn Bach, Bryn-y-Ddafad

Experience peace and tranquility at our Visit Wales 4 Star self catering cottage. The accommodation is ground floor and ideal for guests with limited mobility. With access to a lovely private garden and lying in the heart of beautiful countryside it is the perfect place for a romatic getaway.

The accommodation is tastefully decorated and furnished and situated a few yards away from the main house where the owners are on site.

Scrumptious breakfasts are available at an addtional charge if ordered the preceeding evening.

The cottage has a spacious open plan lounge with  a bed settee, easy chair and flat screen television at one end and dining/kitchen area at the other.

Front door leading to the parking area and rear door to patio with garden furniture for those 'al fresco' meals . The attractive NGS (National Garden Scheme) garden has a pond and stream. All areas of the garden are available for guests to enjoy at all times. 

The well equiped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dining table and 4 chairs.

The bedroom which may be twin or super king bedded has ample storage space, and an addional flat screen television and hairdryer. French doors open to parking area.

 Good sized bathroom with wash-hand basin, toilet and bath with shower.

 All bed linen & towels supplied.

Babies are accepted up to the age of 18 months. Travel cot and high chair on request.

Children are accepted over the age of 12 years.

Laundry service available at a reasonable cost.

Secure storage and clothes drying facilities for walkers, golfers and cyclists.

Oil fired central heating with thermostats on all radiators.

Free Wi-Fi is available.

Free off road parking.

Major credit and debit cards are accepted.

For your convenience and with our compliments a small welcome pack of essentials is provided which includes tea, coffee, sugar milk, kitchen roll, washing up liquid,toilet paper etc.

Following our last annual Visit Wales inspection the accommodation was awarded 100% for cleanliness. 

Please note the accommodation is strictly non-smoking and there are no designated smoking areas within the property or grounds.

Located 11 miles from Central Cardiff, the vibrant Capital of Wales and 3 miles from the historic town of Cowbridge with many fine restaurants and shops. The dramatic Heritage coast is only six miles away and the Gower, the Brecon Beacons, and the South Wales Valleys are all within easy reach making Y Bwthyn Bach an ideal touring base for Southern Wales.

The self catering rates for short breaks are between £60 and £70 per night based on occupancy by two persons and dependant on the time of year.

The cottage will accommodate 2 persons very comfortably. A further 2 persons can be accommodated by using the bed settee giving a maximum of 4 persons.

From the A48 turn left at the sign to Welsh St. Donats. At the crossroads in the village follow the brown signage to Bryn-y-Ddafad.
